I am interested in the evolution of plant reproduction under many different angles. During my PhD in the group of François Parcy (Laboratory for Plant and Cell Physiology, Grenoble), I studied the evolution of the DNA-binding specificy of LEAFY, a master floral regulator. During my post-doc in the group of Angela Hay (Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research, Cologne), I investigated the genetic basis of intra- and inter-specific variation in petal number. I was recruited as a CNRS researcher in the laboratory for Plant Reproduction and Development (RDP, Lyon) where I aimed to decipher the gene regulatory networks underlying the specification of petal identity in petunia, in each cell layer of the petal specifically. For this, we performed single-cell RNA-Seq and ChIP-Seq in petunia mutants affected in petal identity in a single cell layer.
I recently joined the EEP lab to work on the evolution of the molecular mechanisms involved in self-incompatibility (SI). In particular, I am interested in the evolution of the SRK-SCR interaction and the molecular determinants of dominance between SCR alleles in the Brassicaceae SI system, and I am developing a new research axis on gametophytic SI using the model petunia.
